The post-holder will participate in the effective and safe running of the MRI department at Newham University Hospital site. The post-holder will be able to perform a wide range of specialist MRI scans. The post holder will assist in the delivery of clinical trials and perform MRI research scans.
The post holder will work closely with radiographers, students, and clinical staff of all grades in the safe, prompt, and effective imaging of inpatients and outpatients.
The post holder will ensure patient flow in the trust by actively managing the flow of emergency and in-patients to ensure same-day scanning. Furthermore, they will be responsible for checking conditional devices, booking sedated patients, liaising with radiologists and other clinicians to unblock barriers to scanning. The post holder will ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and experience, and will be equipped to handle and diffuse potential complaints to ensure patient and carer satisfaction.
The post holder will maintain an up-to-date level of knowledge and skills to uphold a highly professional and technical standard of clinical work. This knowledge will be disseminated through formal and informal CPD practices to ensure all staff produce high-quality radiography.
