Job Description

I have been instructed on a new permanent role working a law firm based at Chancery Lane. The role is working on a 1:1 basis but they will need to some flexibility to assist another solicitor. The hours are 9.30am-5.30pm and they do offer hybrid working (4 days in the office/1 from home)



The Role



The Department is looking to recruit an experienced and confident secretary to join the team of six secretaries.




\t
* Your key duties will include, but will not be limited to:

\t
* Liaising with clients both face to face and over the phone

\t
* Preparing and sewing/binding deeds and Wills

\t
* File opening and compliance support

\t
* Assisting with electronic billing

\t
* Assisting/supporting solicitors, accountants and other fee earners within the department

\t
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

\t
* General administrative duties

\t
* Diary management

\t
* Document management

\t
* Maintaining all filing systems effectively

\t
* Audio/copy typing, including digital dictation

\t
* Assisting with electronic bibles

* Good time management, adopting a flexible approach to work.

\t
* Demonstrates persistence and commitment to completing tasks and objectives.

\t
* Delivers work output to the required standard.

\t
* Attention to detail and quality of work.

\t
* Ability to build and maintain working relationships with others and is seen as ‘approachable’.

* Operates effectively as part of a team.

\t
* Willing to offer help to other colleagues to ensure efficient running of the department

* Fast and accurate typing speed (65 words per minute).

\t
* Advanced Microsoft Office skills and strong evidence of business writing and numeracy skills.
