We currently have an exciting opportunity for a passionate, dedicated and skilled Mental Health and Wellbeing Safeguarding Officer and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.

Duties:
* Provide initial triage and assessment for students presenting with significant mental health and wellbeing concerns, ensuring appropriate support and interventions are in place.
* Work collaboratively as part of the safeguarding team, responding to disclosures, concerns, and referrals in line with statutory safeguarding duties and college policies.
* Undertake risk assessments and develop individual support and safety plans for students at risk of harm to themselves or others.
* Build and maintain effective partnerships with external agencies (including CAMHS, NHS services, social care, police, and voluntary organisations) to secure appropriate interventions and ongoing support for students.
* Offer guidance, advice, and training to staff on identifying and supporting students with mental health and wellbeing needs.
* Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential records on safeguarding and wellbeing systems in line with college policy and data protection requirements.
Skills/Experience:
* Experience working with young people and/or vulnerable adults in education, health, or community settings
* Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation, statutory guidance, and procedures
Qualifications:
* Minimum GCSE grade 4 / C in English & Maths or equivalent.
* Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) or equivalent training
