Robertson Bell are supporting a large, complex, organisation based in Plymouth to recruit an interim Finance Manager on an initial three-to-six-month contract.
This interim role comes following a period of significant change within the finance function, so there is a real emphasis on people-management in this role.
The interim Finance Manager will be responsible for:
1. Overseeing a team of six part-qualified accountants, with a focus on understanding their roles and what they require in order to deliver in those positions.
2. Working with the team as a whole to develop a culture of information sharing in order to define and consistently improve best practice.
3. Identify opportunities to implement uniformity to processes and ways of working across the team - to improve efficiency.
4. Acting as a sounding board for queries, using your vast experience to make informed decisions.
The successful candidate will:
5. Be an experienced accountant with significant experience managing teams.
6. Have operated within a larger business, and ideally a highly regulated environment.
7. Live within commutable distance of Central Plymouth, twice per week.
8. Be available at short notice.
