Assistant Manager – The Wildcard Bar & Grill
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our vibrant bar and grill team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
* Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily operations of the bar and grill
* Supervise front-of-house and back-of-house staff, ensuring smooth service and teamwork
* Support recruitment, training, and development of team members
* Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage stock control efficiently
* Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
* Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels
* Contribute to scheduling, payroll, and performance management processes
* Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to maintain quality standards and timely service
* Drive sales and profitability through excellent service and operational efficiency
* Uphold a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the brand's values and enhances guest loyalty
Qualifications
* Proven experience in restaurant, bar, or hospitality management
* Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to motivate a team
* Knowledge of food safety, licensing laws, and best practices in hospitality operations
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills for both staff and guests
* Previous experience in a bar and grill or casual dining environment is highly desirable
* A passion for delivering outstanding customer service and creating memorable experiences
