Bistro-23 is the newest restaurant in Tetbury, offering relaxed dining in a beautifully restored 16th-century coaching inn. We serve modern British food with a strong focus on seasonal, local ingredients and quality craftsmanship. Set within the heart of The Ormond Hotel, our kitchen is growing fast – and we're looking for a dynamic and driven Breakfast Chef/Chef de Partie to help shape its future.
What we're looking for
We want a Chef with passion, creativity, and strong leadership experience. This is a hands-on role that goes beyond cooking – you'll help develop menus, mentor junior chefs, and maintain the high standards that define our reputation. Experience in a busy restaurant or hotel kitchen is essential. If you love great food, enjoy a fast-paced service, and want to help build something special, we want to hear from you.
What you'll be doing
* Support the Head Chef with day-to-day kitchen management.
* Deliver consistently excellent dishes that reflect our seasonal, Cotswold-focused ethos.
* Take a lead on ordering, stock control, food safety, and kitchen hygiene.
* Contribute to menu development and seasonal specials.
* Work collaboratively with front-of-house to ensure a seamless guest experience.
What you'll bring
* At least 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous Chef / Senior CDP experience
* A background in high-quality, fast-paced restaurants or hotels.
* Proven leadership skills with a positive and professional approach to teamwork.
* Strong organisational and communication abilities.
* A passion for fresh ingredients, local produce, and thoughtful presentation.
* Food Safety Level 2 or 3 certification.
