We have exciting growth plans and are now seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our Team. This role will play a crucial role in the day-to-day financial functions and maintaining purchase and sales ledger.
We are a small team and love collaboration in our beautiful Crawley office.
Responsibilities
Sales Ledger
· Maintaining Customer records
· Posting monies received from Customers daily and ensuring accurate allocations
· Dealing with Customer queries via telephone and email
· Sending out monthly statements
· Credit control, supported by the Finance Director
Purchase Ledger
· Maintaining Supplier records
· Posting Stock and Overhead invoices onto the system in a timely manner
· Processing and reconciling weekly costs from Commercial Credit card transactions
Month End Processes
· Ensure that purchase ledger is completed and closed within a reasonable timeframe after month end
· Run month end reports, creditors and debtors, with comments
· Assist with the GRN check ahead of the monthly accruals
Other/ADHOC
· Answering calls to the finance line
· Managing the Finance team’s email
· Maintaining the finance team’s filing system and other admin support as needed
· Assist the CEO, Directors and Finance Manager with any other duties as required
Competence
· A friendly, motivated individual
· Ability to ‘hit the ground running’ and troubleshoot issues independently once trained
· A good team player
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Strong attention to detail
· Time management/deadline driven
· IT literate and competent in Excel
· Excellent organizational skills
Qualifications & Experience
· 3+ years Accounts experience
· AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting or equivalent qualification would be advantageous
· Educated to GCSE or equivalent
· Full UK Driver’s License

Salary FTE - £25000-£28000 (pro-rata £17857-£20000) dependant on experience
