Overview

We are looking for someone to join our successful Water Management Consultancy groundwater resources team in delivering a growing portfolio of projects. Our Water Management Consultancy business operates at the interface between people and the water environment, tackling problems relating to water availability, quality, habitat and future changes.
Your role
* Help deliver our portfolio of groundwater projects, working with hydrogeologist technical leads and other disciplines.
* Undertake work assigned to a high standard, self‑checking to ensure accuracy and quality.
* Engage in complex problem solving that may include data gathering and processing, calculations and modelling, conceptualisation and report writing.
* Collaborate closely with the groundwater resources team; teamwork is vital to our success.
* Work collaboratively with other technical disciplines in the Water Management Consultancy team and beyond, delivering projects related to water supply, strategic planning, resource optimisation and environmental assessment.
About You
* A degree in science, engineering or mathematics and a post‑graduate qualification in hydrogeology or a related subject.
* Demonstrable experience as a hydrogeologist within consultancy, water company, regulator or academic fields.
* Experience may include water resources hydrogeology and hydrology, signal and pumping tests, borehole design, groundwater flooding or water resource planning.
* An understanding of UK hydrogeology and of the regulatory framework of UK water management.
* A commitment to work towards chartership through a relevant professional body.
* Excellent numerical, analytical, report‑writing and presentational skills and an eye for detail.
* Enthusiasm and motivation to solve challenging water resources problems within a high‑achieving team environment.

This role may require security clearance, and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance.
