The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to join the team. This position manages North UK; the ideal candidate will be located in Nottingham. Abbott Molecular is a leader in molecular diagnostics and the analysis of DNA, RNA and proteins at the molecular level.
Responsibilities
* Installation and implementation of new systems at current and new customer sites.
* Perform preventative maintenance interventions (hardware and software upgrades and repair interventions on molecular instrumentation).
* Troubleshoot application and instrumentation by telephone and on site; log and track complaints in call management systems.
* Provide on‑site customer support for software and hardware upgrade training.
* Cooperate closely with application support specialists and the commercial team to provide excellent customer service and support business growth.
* Provide primary service and support to the defined territory and back‑up service support outside of the assigned territory as needed.

* Scientific mindset; strong problem‑solving skills; autonomy and resourcefulness.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Active listening abilities.
* Diploma/College degree.
