Job Description

We are currently recruiting a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join the Phillips 66 PREP graduate programme. Through technical training, professional development and mentoring, PREP accelerates your growth into a well‑rounded energy professional, ready to make a meaningful impact on our business and the future of lower‑carbon energy. You will also be invited to an IMechE accredited MPDS scheme, designed to help you become a Chartered Engineer as soon as possible. You will be challenged and stretched but also supported and trusted at every step by a trained mentor who ensures you complete your training while adding value to our dynamic business.

* Understand, evaluate and forecast equipment degradation mechanisms to decide future repair scopes.
* Evaluate found equipment condition, conduct fitness‑for‑service calculations using hand calculations or finite‑element analysis to ensure equipment is fit for service.
* Re‑rate discipline‑specific equipment for potential increased production capacity.
* Gain appreciation for non‑discipline‑specific equipment and understand the roles other departments play in a complex 24/7 operating refinery.

* A proactive self‑starter.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Highly motivated with the drive and energy to lead and influence change.
* Team player able to work with and influence others.
* Confidence to work on your own initiative.
