We are looking for a Senior Account Manager to join our Client Services team and take ownership of key client relationships across the UK and Europe.

This is a senior role for someone who can lead, not just manage. Someone who understands how strategy, delivery and commercial performance fit together, and is confident operating at that level with clients and colleagues alike.

As a Senior Account Manager, you’ll be a key player in that culture. You’ll work across borders, lead complex conversations, and play an active role in shaping how we deliver work and grow relationships. You will collaborate closely with senior specialists across strategy, creative, campaign, content, PR and web, contributing to high-impact, international programmes.


The role.

As a Senior Account Manager, you will lead high-value and strategically important client accounts, acting as the primary point of contact and the internal owner of delivery, performance and growth.

You will be responsible for translating client objectives into clear, effective marketing strategies and ensuring those strategies are executed to a consistently high standard. This includes managing complex projects, briefing multidisciplinary teams, overseeing quality and compliance, and maintaining tight control of timelines, budgets and KPIs.

You will operate as a trusted advisor to your clients, providing confident strategic guidance, challenging thinking where needed, and identifying opportunities to improve performance and expand the relationship. This role requires commercial judgement, strong decision-making and the ability to balance client ambition with agency profitability.

Beyond day-to-day delivery, you will contribute to account growth, proposal development and business development activity, while supporting and mentoring junior team members. You will work closely with traffic, delivery and finance teams to ensure work is planned properly, billed accurately and delivered efficiently.

This is a role for someone who is comfortable with responsibility and visible leadership.


What you’ll bring.

You will bring significant experience in client services, ideally within a B2B marketing or communications agency, with a proven track record of managing complex accounts and senior client stakeholders. You understand how marketing drives business outcomes, not just activity. You are strategically minded but operationally strong. You can zoom out to shape direction and zoom in to ensure detail is right. You are commercially aware, confident managing budgets, resourcing and performance reporting, and capable of protecting margins without compromising quality.

You are a clear, confident communicator who can brief effectively, present persuasively and challenge constructively. You are calm under pressure, solutions-focused, and comfortable making decisions.

Experience in energy, maritime or other industrial sectors is valuable, but not essential. What matters most is your ability to get under the skin of a client’s business and deliver work that makes a measurable impact.

You will also bring leadership presence, with the ability and desire to support, guide and develop others, and to represent Fifth Ring professionally with clients, partners and colleagues.
