Introduction
Acorn by Synergie is recruiting a Senior procurement lead, to join a growing, forward-thinking business near Swindon. This permanent role offers a hybrid working model and requires occasional international travel, so candidates must hold a valid passport and full UK driving licence.
Key Details
* Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm
* Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 per annum (DOE) + performance-related bonus
* Location: Office near Swindon (hybrid working)
* Contract: Permanent, full-time
Key Responsibilities
* Lead procurement of goods and services to meet commercial and operational targets.
* Drive strategic sourcing and manage supplier relationships.
* Lead, coach, and mentor junior procurement team members.
* Negotiate and manage supplier contracts, pricing, and rebate agreements.
* Collaborate with Quantity Surveyors, Estimators, and other internal stakeholders.
* Support procurement for key retail fit-out and construction projects.
* Monitor supplier performance, delivery targets, and pricing compliance.
* Develop procurement schedules based on project specifications and drawings.
* Ensure adherence to internal processes and health & safety requirements.
Skills & Experience Required
* Strong experience in a buying or procurement role.
* Excellent Excel skills and general IT competency.
* Proven ability to build supplier relationships and negotiate effectively.
* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
* CIPS, CIOB, or RICS qualification (or working towards) desirable.
* Full UK driving licence required.
* Minimum GCSE-level education.
* Willingness to travel internationally as required.
