Purpose Of The Role
As the Deputy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective management of our Home Care Service. You will work closely with the Registered Manager & Senior Management Team to provide quality social care, promote service users' independence, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance & Quality Assurance:
* Ensure the operational management and compliance of all care delivery practices and procedures.
* Conduct regular audits within the senior management team and develop action plans for continuous improvement.
* Maintain strong knowledge of CQC regulations, Local Authority Quality Band Assessments, and GDPR.
* Ensure all staff adhere to the highest standards of health, safety, and person-centered care.
Leadership & Team Development
* Foster strong relationships with all staff to promote engagement, teamwork, and alignment with Kelly Park Limited's values.
* Oversee recruitment processes in collaboration with HR department to ensure robust staffing.
* Assist in Implementing strategies to promote staff retention and professional development.
* Conduct regular performance appraisals, supervisions, and ensure mandatory training is completed.
Communication & Relationship Management
* Promote dignity and respect across the service, ensuring positive communication with customers and colleagues.
* Assist & Lead regular meetings with care staff to encourage open communication and feedback.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with social workers, community teams, and other professional organizations to support business growth and continuity.
Business Strategy & Development
* Contribute to the strategic planning and development of the business as a member of the SMT.
* Support the implementation of performance management and quality assurance systems to ensure efficient service delivery.
Essential Requirements
* Previous experience and knowledge of home care, including leadership responsibilities.
* NVQ Level 4 qualification in Health and Social Care, level 5 qualification being desirable.
* Full driving license and access to a car.
* Strong IT, communication, and customer service skills.
* Ability to manage a busy workload and take decisive action when needed.
Shift Pattern
* Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.
* Additional telephone support may be required outside standard hours if business needs require this, which is an enhanced pay for out-of-hours support at your hourly rate.
