MARKET REPORTER
Summary
Location: Remote position based in the U.K.
Role: The Market Reporter will provide daily coverage of global tree nut markets. Your responsibilities include collecting pricing data and market insights from international sources, generating weekly price assessments, crafting detailed market commentaries, and developing relationships with new industry contacts.
Business: Stratamarkets is a growing U.S.-based Price Reporting Agency (PRA) dedicated to enhancing price transparency in global food commodity markets, starting with tree nuts. We are a dynamic company, in our fifth year, serving over 220 enterprise customers across 24 countries. Our clients rely on our accurate price data for trade, pricing negotiations, contract settlement, and strategic decisions. We operate fully remotely, with core team members located in the U.S., the U.K., and the Philippines.

Responsibilities
Gather and report prices: You will actively engage with global market participants daily via phone, messaging platforms, and email to gather market prices. This activity is central to your daily responsibilities.
Gather and report market intelligence: Alongside pricing, you will collect critical market intelligence, such as emerging trends, supply and demand shifts, international trade developments, and other relevant market insights impacting prices.
Write market reports: You will synthesize collected data and intelligence into weekly market summaries tailored for a professional and analytically minded audience. These reports will focus on detailed technical analyses of supply and demand factors driving price movements. Familiarity and willingness to use and experiment with generative AI tools to enhance report writing are essential.
Source development: Identifying and cultivating relationships with new market sources worldwide will be key to your role. Success requires persistence, excellent interpersonal skills, and a genuine enthusiasm for engaging with people.
Skills and experience
•Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
•Advanced proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets for data analysis.
•Experience utilizing AI tools for tasks including content editing, data analysis, and content generation.
•A minimum of five years of reporting and writing experience, preferably as a market reporter at a PRA or as a business journalist.
•Excellent spoken English.
•Familiarity with commodity markets is advantageous but not mandatory.
•Bachelor’s degree.
•Legal authorization to work in the U.K.
