Vision for Education are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic behavioural support worker – Week Days

Ideal Candidate

Be empathetic, calm, and an excellent listener.
Possess strong communication and behaviour management skills.
Show a flexible, adaptable, and positive attitude to supporting children with additional needs.
Hold an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
About the role

Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement behaviour support plans.
Build positive, trusting relationships with students to encourage engagement.
Monitor and manage challenging behaviours in and outside the classroom.
Provide one-to-one or small group support to students needing extra help.

About you:

Support individual pupils or small groups with a variety of SEND—such as autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, sensory impairments, behavioural or communication needs—adapting to each child’s specific requirements

Assist in planning and delivering tailored learning activities under teacher guidance and help implement individual Education

Help manage classroom routines, transitions, and behaviour using positive reinforcement and behaviour strategies

Foster a safe, inclusive, nurturing learning environment that builds confidence, independence, and social skills
Requirements

To be considered for the role of a Youth Worker - SEND you will:

Have a passion for supporting and helping children.
Be dedicated to improving outcomes for all children.
Be committed to completing the required training and participating in ongoing CPD.
Be willing to pay for an enhanced DBS check and register with the Update Service.

Salary

£13.68 per hour

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

Have a desire to work within education.
Have/ be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS check.
