This is a pivotal, high-impact leadership role responsible for driving strategic growth, operational excellence, and cultural alignment across a diverse portfolio of companies.
The successful candidate will bring a blend of strategic foresight, commercial acumen, and leadership to deliver sustainable performance in a safety-critical, regulated environment.
As Group Managing Director, you will:
• Develop and execute a clear 3–5-year growth strategy aligned with Group objectives • Hold full P&L accountability for a portfolio exceeding £100m • Integrate future acquisitions and ensure seamless cultural alignment across the portfolio • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation, maintaining the highest industry standards • Oversee efficient, safe operations across multiple business units. • Build workforce capability, drive service quality and productivity improvements, and deliver cost efficiencies. • Build trusted relationships with regulators, network operators, and customers. • Lead and inspire a high-performing leadership team, embedding a values-driven, inclusive culture.
Parkinson Lee Executive Search are looking for Business Leaders who:
• Have a proven track record in senior leadership within utilities, energy, or infrastructure contracting, ideally with full P&L responsibility for multi-site or multi-client operations. • Demonstrable experience integrating culturally distinct businesses and leading through acquisition and transformation. • Strong understanding of UK energy regulation, electricity network development, and the construction and maintenance market. • A natural mentor with the gravitas to lead change, develop talent, and set the pace for growth. • Degree preferred (Engineering, Business, or related discipline); professional memberships advantageous.
