Key Responsibilities
* Lead the Charge in Subcontracting Growth - Identify opportunities, negotiate pricing, and swiftly set up contracts that hit our profit targets. Drive expansion of our subcontracting footprint.
* Champion Safety & Risk Management - Ensure contracts align with safety standards and policies, and manage risks to keep teams and projects secure.
* Build Strong Internal Partnerships - Forge and nurture relationships with internal teams, key accounts, directors, and colleagues to fuel growth and customer satisfaction.
* Get Closer to Customers - Visit client sites to gain insights, understand needs, and uncover new growth areas.
* Offer Expert Commercial Guidance - Provide strategic advice on contracts and commercial matters to the Head of Key Accounts and leadership, ensuring profitability and alignment with goals.
* Facilitate Clear Communication - Keep stakeholders informed about customer needs and service updates for seamless operations.
* Collaborate for Success - Work with teams to boost business, enhance customer experiences, and uphold safety and profitability.
* Drive Continuous Improvement - Monitor contract performance, identify optimization opportunities, and implement changes to maximise profitability while minimising risks.
Safety Responsibilities
* Ensure all subcontractors and suppliers comply with safety policies and procedures.
* Conduct regular site visits to monitor safety standards and identify areas for improvement.
* Collaborate with the compliance team to develop and implement safety initiatives.
* Include specific safety requirements in contracts and enforce them throughout contract duration.
* Negotiate contracts that meet profitability targets and minimise financial risk.
* Develop and implement strategies to optimise contract profitability and reduce costs.
* Collaborate with Finance to forecast and report contract financials accurately.
* Identify areas for cost savings and implement changes to improve profitability.

Qualifications and Experience
* Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within the construction industry.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple projects.
* Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to negotiate effectively.
* Solid understanding of contract management, safety regulations, and fiscal management principles.
