The Role As our Computer Science Graduate (AI & Digital Innovation), you’ll: Support the design, development and deployment of AI, machine-learning, data analytics and digital optimisation tools that enhance project planning, asset monitoring and marine / civil operations Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, site operations, diving, survey and project teams to understand domain problems and build tech solutions Process, cleanse and analyse field data (e.g. sensor, geodata, drone imagery, underwater survey data) and produce actionable insights Prototype models and algorithmic solutions (e.g. predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, scheduling optimisation) Work with external partners, GIS / remote sensing, visualization and tooling frameworks Assist in digital transformation initiatives — documenting code, developing dashboards and enabling wider adoption of tech tools across the business Validate solutions through pilot projects and field trials, iterating based on feedback ⏱ Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours (core hours) Location: Dawlish, Devon (hybrid site visits) What We’re Looking For: You’ll have: A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, AI or equivalent (or imminent graduation) Solid programming skills (e.g. Python, R, Java, C++ or other modern language) Familiarity (or strong interest) in machine learning, data analytics, modelling, algorithms, or statistical methods Demonstrable experience via projects, coursework or side projects in data science, ML, optimisation or algorithmic work Strong problem-solving mindset, ability to translate complex domain challenges into technical solutions Excellent communication skills - able to present technical ideas to non-technical colleagues A collaborative mindset, with willingness to learn domain specifics and adapt Eligible to work in the UK Desirable: Experience with GIS, geospatial data, remote sensing, drone / sensor data, or underwater / marine datasets Exposure to cloud platforms, visualization tools or front-end dashboards What You’ll Get in Return: Competitive graduate salary of up to £35,000 per annum Clear development pathway into digital, engineering or leadership roles Mentorship from experienced engineers and domain specialists Hybrid working flexibility (office remote) Exposure to high-profile infrastructure / marine projects nationwide Travel to interesting sites and field deployments Strong learning culture: budget for training, conferences, certifications Contribution to impactful projects that protect coastlines & communities Membership of Ancora Group’s broader network & resources Standard benefits: pension, holiday allowance, health / wellbeing support At TMS we are an inclusive, equal opportunities employer - we celebrate diversity and aim for fairness in recruitment, development and reward.
