Recovery coordinator

Peterlee
Forward Leeds
Recovery coordinator
Posted: 1 October
Offer description

Waythrough launched in October 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship. Our vision is to break down the barriers that stop people getting the support they need to live a life they value. We tackle poverty and disadvantage in communities, through mental health, drug and alcohol, housing and related support.

We have almost 200 services around England – and nearly 3,500 amazing staff and volunteers who run them. Every year our services support around 125,000 people.

Bringing together two big organisations is not a small task and it’ll take a while to fully integrate our systems, processes and approaches. That’s why you will notice the jobs here are still branded ‘Humankind’. Next year we’ll be fully integrating our recruitment systems but for now they are separate.

Location

Location: Horden Recovery Centre, SR8 4NU

Role

Recovery Co-ordinator – 2 x positions available

Working week: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm; you will be required to work one Saturday morning per 3 months (09:00-12:00).

We are excited to offer a role for 2 x Drug and Alcohol Recovery Coordinators to join our East Durham team. The County Durham service has recently been rated ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC and is a great place to work. The service supports adults across County Durham with drug and alcohol issues. The successful post holder will match our organisational ambition and commitment to provide the highest standards of service delivery across County Durham, engaging with local communities and supporting their priorities.

* Devising, implementing, and reviewing ongoing recovery and treatment plans.
* Facilitate and promote individuals’ progression from initial engagement, through structured treatment, to self-sustained recovery.

* Work collaboratively with key partners and colleagues to achieve the best health and well-being outcomes for individuals.
* Support with evening and weekend clinics when needed.

By joining our teams of passionate individuals, you will be contributing to making this happen. You can really make a difference by believing in our service users and their ability to make positive changes when they don’t always believe in themselves.

We are incredibly proud of the work that we do to help address health inequalities in England. Every five minutes, an individual accesses one of our services, and we have supported over 90,000 people across all our services last year. Check out our impact report here to read more about the important work that we have done.
