SEND Lecturer Positions Available in London (Full-Time and Part-Time)

Hourly Pay - 25 - 30 TBC
We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) Lecturers to join our team in London. These roles are available on both full-time and part-time bases. As a SEND Lecturer, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs, helping them achieve their full potential in a Further Education (FE) environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Teaching and Curriculum Delivery: Teach and assess students with SEND in your specialized subject area, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs and ensuring high-quality education.
* Student Support: Provide tailored support to students with SEND, helping them develop academically and personally while fostering independence and confidence.
* Lesson Planning and Adaptation: Plan and deliver lessons that are inclusive and accessible, making use of appropriate resources and teaching materials.
* Assessment and Feedback: Set and mark assessments, providing constructive feedback to help students progress in their learning.
* Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, SENCOs, teaching assistants, and external agencies to ensure effective support for students with SEND.
* Student Progress Monitoring: Track and report on student progress, identifying and addressing any barriers to learning.
* Professional Development: Participate in continuous professional development, particularly related to SEND teaching practices and strategies.
Essential Qualifications and Requirements:
* Teaching Qualification: A recognized teaching qualification, such as a Level 3 Award in Education and Training (or equivalent), or willingness to work towards obtaining it.
* SEND Expertise: Experience or a relevant qualification in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) or additional learning support.
* Subject Expertise: A relevant degree or professional qualification in the subject area you will be teaching.
* Experience with SEND Students: Previous experience working with students who have SEND, including knowledge of different learning needs and strategies to support them.
* Functional Skills: Ability to deliver Functional Skills qualifications in English and Maths, or a commitment to develop this capability.
* Enhanced DBS Check: Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
Desirable:
* Experience in an FE Environment: Previous experience teaching or supporting SEND students in Further Education is preferred.
* Knowledge of SEND Legislation: An understanding of current SEND policies, legislation, and best practices.
* Additional Training: Relevant qualifications or experience in working with specific SEND needs, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, dyslexia, or other learning disabilities.
