Cloud Solution Architect – Data & Analytics (Strategic Accounts)
We are looking for a Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) specializing in Data and Analytics, passionate about driving customers' transformation on Microsoft Azure.
This customer-facing role works with strategic UK accounts, owning the technical relationship between the customer and Microsoft, and helping customers leverage their Microsoft investments through architecture and operational health engagements.
Work up to 50% from home.
Responsibilities
* Understand customers’ overall business and IT priorities, their data estate and success measures. Design Data & Analytics solutions that drive business value and positive customer satisfaction to become a trusted advisor.
* Ensure solutions exhibit high performance, security, scalability, maintainability, repeatability, reusability, and reliability upon deployment. Provide feedback and insights from customers/partners back into Microsoft.
* Develop opportunities to enable customer success and improved business results, helping customers get value from their Microsoft investments and identifying solutions to technical blockers.
* Deliver solutions according to Microsoft best practices and using repeatable intellectual property (IP).
* Architect and design solutions that meet business and IT needs, create Data & Analytics roadmaps, drive Proof of Concepts (POCs) and Minimal Viable Products (MVPs), and ensure long‑term technical viability of new deployments, infusing key AI technologies.
* Voice the customer back into Microsoft to share insights and best practices, connecting with Engineering teams to remove blockers and drive product improvements.
* Maintain and continually develop technical skills, keeping up-to-date with market trends and competitive insights; collaborate and share with peers while educating customers on Azure platform.
* Accelerate customer outcomes – contributing to IP creation & reuse to accelerate customer outcomes and obtaining relevant accreditations and certifications.
Required Qualifications
* Experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting or equivalent experience.
* Experience working with at least one of: Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake, PostgreSQL, or Cosmos DB.
* This role requires Security Clearance. Existing SC clearance or willingness to undergo security vetting and meet minimum criteria.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in a customer‑facing role (internal and/or external).
* Experience working on technical projects.
* Technical certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google, security certifications).
* Experience with data migration projects and/or implementation of data governance frameworks.
