Job Description
The Mistras-Project Manager works in concert with Synthomer-Reliability for the continued development of the Mechanical Integrity Program, focusing on aligning with API intervals and integrating into PCMS. The role involves fieldwork, meetings with Capital Project management, the Mechanical Integrity Team, and contractors to plan and execute Maintenance and TAR inspections. Supervision of onsite Mistras personnel, delegation of daily inspections, and organization and tracking of equipment and piping inspections through shared files and KPIs are also key responsibilities.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:
* Collaborate directly with Synthomer-MI Project Management on priority Capital Projects.
* Coordinate with the Synthomer-MI Group to plan annual maintenance inspections and TAR preparation.
* Execute and monitor inspection progress.
* Co-manage MI priorities with Synthomer/MI Reliability Engineer (Behzad).
* Prioritize responsibilities jointly and delegate work to Mistras staff at the discretion of the MI-PM Site Lead.
* Delegate work to onsite Mistras staff, API, and Drafting teams.
EXPECTATIONS:
* Allocate 25-50% of time onsite for API & NDE inspections while managing the PM position.
* Collaborate with the GM on additional staffing and quoting for extra work.
* Implement and track KPIs.
* Allocate time for Capital Projects.
* Participate in daily meetings on priority projects.
* Complete unplanned inspections based on priority or emergent needs.
* Address process failures promptly.
* Discuss and schedule uninspected equipment or incidental findings based on risk assessment.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
* At least 10 years of inspection experience.
* 1-3 years of project management experience.
* Experience in project planning and managing TARs.
* Minimum five years of API 570/510 certifications.
* NDE certification in MT, PT, UTT (current) or ASNT certification.
* Experience with API 653 and PADEP (preferred).
* Knowledge of systemization and circuitization of process piping per API-571, including damage mechanisms.
* Ability to read PFDs, P&IDs, and create isometric drawings.
* Ability to interpret U-1, U-1A Data Reports, and design drawings.
