We are excited to be opening a brand-new, Hygge-inspired learning environment for Kindergarten and Home Educated children aged 4 to 11 years. Open Monday to Wednesday, our provision is child led, with play, curiosity and imagination guiding each day. Taking inspiration from approaches such as Hygge, we aim to nurture children's emotional well-being and build on their natural curiosity. We embrace nature and mindfulness, offering children a calm, cosy and inspiring setting just moments from the beach. With a strong focus on wellbeing, friendships and meaningful connections, we nurture every child as a unique individual.
We are seeking an experienced and inspiring leader, ideally a qualified teacher or early years professional, with a strong understanding of child-led, play-based learning. You will share our passion for nature, mindfulness and nurturing connections, and have the skills to create a calm, engaging environment where children flourish. The ability to meet Ofsted standards while fostering creativity, independence and curiosity is essential.
Part time - between 16 to 20 hours a week, Monday to Wednesday around 9am till 3.30pm, but we are flexible on the number of days, hours and times you would like to work – Start Date 3rd November.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the daily operation of the kindergarten and home education provision.
* Ensure every child is welcomed, nurtured and supported, with strong emphasis on connection and wellbeing.
* Deliver and maintain a child-led curriculum, inspired by nature, play and curiosity.
* Lead on embedding mindfulness, outdoor learning and a focus on the natural environment.
* Ensure compliance with all Ofsted regulations, safeguarding requirements and health & safety standards.
* Support, guide and inspire staff to deliver high-quality, child-centred experiences.
* Build positive relationships with families, ensuring open communication and a welcoming community ethos.
