What you’ll do on a typical day:
* Safely manoeuvre trailers and vehicles around the yard, using a shunter vehicle, ensuring smooth and efficient site operations
* Position trailers onto bays in readiness for loading and unloading, maintaining yard organisation at all times
* Carry out daily vehicle and equipment checks, reporting any defects, damage, or wear and tear promptly
* Work closely with warehouse, transport, and site teams to ensure health & safety procedures and operational requirements are consistently met
What you need to succeed at GXO:
* HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving licence
* Valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph cards
* No more than six penalty points on your licence (no TT, DD, DR, DG, BA, AC, LC or CD endorsements)
* Previous shunting experience is desirable, but full training can be provided
