Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Self-Employed Preschool Teacher to work independently in our setting. As the key contact for children, you will take ownership of their daily learning experience, creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters social, emotional, and cognitive development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, excellent communication skills, and a genuine love for working with young children.
This is a self-employed role paid at £12.21 per hour, based on the hours you work.
Duties
* Work independently as the key contact for children, planning and delivering age-appropriate activities that support early learning and development.
* Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and curiosity.
* Build and maintain positive relationships with children and families to support each child's individual learning journey.
* Monitor and assess children's progress, providing regular feedback to parents on their development.
* Guide behaviour positively and effectively, fostering respect, cooperation, and self-confidence in children.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of attendance, activities, progress, and any incidents.
* Ensure all safeguarding, health, and safety standards are upheld within the setting.
* Take responsibility for your own professional growth by engaging in ongoing training and development.
Skills
* Experience working with children in a nursery or preschool setting is essential.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff.
* Ability to drive initiatives that promote children's learning and development through engaging activities.
* Leadership qualities to manage classroom dynamics and support fellow educators as needed.
* Excellent organisational skills to plan lessons and maintain records efficiently.
* A solid understanding of childcare principles and early childhood education methodologies.
