Support Worker
Priory Oak House is looking for a Support Worker to join our team at 10a Victoria Road, Diss, IP22 4HE.
* Pay Rate: £12.90 per hour
* Full time: 42 hours a week, 7:45am to 8pm (2 week rolling rota)
* Must be a driver (2+ years experience, UK driving licence, Manual)
What you’ll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team committed to the wellbeing of residents. You will assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities to support residents’ wellbeing, dignity and treatment.
* Supporting with personal care tasks: washing, dressing, eating and personal care.
* Performing light housekeeping tasks: dusting, vacuuming, changing bed linens.
* Assisting with safe lifting, transferring and repositioning of individuals.
* Assisting and supporting attendance at medical appointments.
* Observing, monitoring and recording physical and emotional wellbeing and reporting any changes to senior staff.
* Supporting the development of family connections and liaising with specialists, such as Speech & Language Therapists and Learning Disability teams.
* Encouraging participation in social and recreational activities that promote involvement and personal growth.

Qualifications and Skills

* Competency in verbal and written English.
* A healthcare qualification desirable, but not essential.
