As a FEMALE Support Worker in our new homecare service in Bethesda and Bangor, Gwynedd, you’ll help make the everyday remarkable for the people we support.

Location: Homecare across Bethesda area and Bangor, Gwynedd
Hours: We offer both part-time (minimum 10 hours per week) and full-time hours (up to 37 hours per week). Please discuss your preferred hours with us. Your shifts will include weekends but no sleep-ins. Typical shifts are:
* 7am to 2.30pm
* 4pm to 10pm
Salary: £12.74 per hour, with travel expenses paid at 45p per mile
Contract: Permanent

What you’ll be doing:
This is a brand-new service for Cartrefi, and you’ll be joining us at an exciting time to help shape this new caring support service.
In this role, you’ll actively support individuals in making their own choices and setting their own goals—whether everyday decisions like what to wear, eat, or do, or bigger decisions such as where to live, managing finances, or holiday plans.
As a trusted Female Support Worker, you'll empower people to follow through on these choices, including participating in structured activities that build confidence and develop new skills. You’ll also provide practical support to help them meet responsibilities like paying bills, maintaining their homes, being good neighbours, and staying connected with friends and family.
Your goal is to make every day remarkable by enhancing well-being and focusing on small, meaningful moments that bring joy and purpose. This person-centred support makes the role both fun and rewarding.
Who we are looking for:
No experience is required as full training is provided. We’d love to hear from you if you:
* Have patience and empathy
* Can support a person with their intimate personal care with respect and dignity
* Have strong communication and teamwork skills
* Can communicate effectively with a range of professional people and support individuals’ needs
* Have good written skills to record events with empathy and meaning
* Have a full driving license—essential for transporting individuals to appointments and activities
* Have access to your own car and are willing to use it for transporting people, with business insurance coverage (we pay 45p per mile)
* Possess Welsh language skills (preferred) to communicate effectively with Welsh-speaking service users and meet their cultural needs
