About The Role
The School of Management is seeking to appoint an Assistant Professor (Lecturer) in Marketing (Research & Teaching) to join the Marketing, Business & Society Division within the School of Management.
The School of Management is a vibrant community, ranked 1st for Marketing and 3rd for Business & Management Studies in the Complete University Guide 2021. In the 2021 REF, it was ranked 7th in the UK for Business and Management Studies and 4th for research environment, with 93% of research classified as world leading or internationally excellent.
The Marketing group specializes in retailing, consumer psychology, consumer research, and consumer culture theory, with a focus on quantitative methods and ecological validity. Opportunities exist for impactful research in collaboration with the Bath Retail Lab and industry partners. The group is also known for addressing global grand challenges through research and teaching.
About You
The ideal candidate will be an outstanding scholar with a strong record of research excellence and teaching ability. They should have a history of publishing in top journals (e.g., Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Retailing, Marketing Science), securing research funding, and delivering high-quality teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including our BSc, MSc in Marketing, and MSc in Strategic Retailing.
