Job Title: PE & Intervention Coach

Pay rate: £90-£110 per day (Depending on experience)

Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Are you a passionate Sports Coach who enjoys inspiring children to stay active, engaged, and confident throughout the school day?
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated PE & Intervention Coach to work within an inclusive primary school in Sheffield (S12). This is a fantastic opportunity for someone energetic and proactive who is confident supporting both PE lessons and targeted pupil engagement interventions.
As a Physical Education (PE) & Intervention Coach, you will support the delivery of high-quality physical education, lead active lunchtime sessions, and work with pupils who may require additional encouragement to engage positively in school life.
Core Responsibilities:
* Support the delivery of engaging PE lessons across the primary curriculum.
* Lead and organise lunchtime and break-time sports and activities.
* Deliver targeted intervention sessions to support pupil engagement and behaviour.
* Encourage teamwork, confidence, and positive participation in physical activity.
* Support classroom staff in promoting positive behaviour and routines.
* Build strong relationships with pupils to enhance wellbeing and motivation.
Requirements of PE & Intervention Coach:
* Previous experience working with children in a school or sports coaching setting.
* Strong behaviour management skills and a positive, energetic attitude is essential.
* Ability to motivate and engage pupils of all abilities.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
