Job Description Field Service Engineer Location: Northamptonshire (Field-Based) Salary: DOE | Hours: Monday–Friday | Overtime Available Our client is looking for a Field Service Engineer to join its growing service team. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role focused on installing, servicing, maintaining, and repairing electro-mechanical production equipment across the UK. What You’ll Be Doing Installing, commissioning, servicing, and repairing customer equipment Responding to breakdowns and completing planned maintenance Diagnosing and fixing electrical and mechanical faults Ensuring all electrical work meets safety and compliance standards Testing completed work and resolving any issues found Producing clear service and customer visit reports Managing company vehicle, tools, and stock Delivering a professional, friendly service to customers Working safely and in line with company and industry H&S standards Staying overnight when required What We’re Looking For Minimum 3 years’ experience servicing electro-mechanical equipment Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills HNC/HND, degree, or equivalent engineering qualification (electrical bias preferred) Full UK driving licence (up to 3 points accepted) Confident working independently in a field service environment Forklift licence desirable (training available) Key Skills Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Strong communication and customer service skills Calm, professional, and solutions-focused approach What’s On Offer Competitive salary (DOE) Paid overtime £20 overnight allowance Company vehicle with fuel card Expenses paid Laptop and mobile phone 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
