Mitie has a great opportunity for security officers to join the Total Security Management Team. The security officers will be working at Stooperdale Darlington.
Pay Rate: £13.23 per hour.
Contract Type : Temporary contract for 3 month which can potentially extend.
Shifts: Mostly Nights and weekend
Main Duties
*
o The security officer will be covering reception, conducting the internal patrols and monitoring the CCTV.
o To be aware of using the mobile app and be able to understand the requirements of the duties.
o Any issues must be recorded on the online portal, written and must be reported to the client and Account Manager.
o Time keeping is important and attending the site on time for handover.
o Must be able to use online portals to record the daily activities.
o The security officer must be vigilant and report and record all suspicious or potential criminal activity and retain full control until the arrival of emergency services.
o The security officer will demonstrate their character as determined, trustworthy, attentive and approachable at all times when welcoming clients and customers.
o As the first point of contact for all customers and clients, the Security officer must have geographical awareness of their local surroundings.
o Report to the Security Manager – they must record, report and escalate all Incidents.

o SIA License essential.
o 5 years of work history Vetting is essential before starting the position .
o As a job requirement officer must be available to work nights and weekends.
o Job Application Includes CV must be submitted with up to date 5-year work history.
o The security officer will need to be a team player with an enthusiastic attitude.
o The security officer should be able to work on his own initiative.
o Flexible Approach to work to suit business needs.
o Excellent customer service skills
o Ability to operate an online portal and use basic IT equipment.
o Ability to go above and beyond to support the client and visitors.
o Excellent communication skills are required both written and verbal.
o It is important the Security Officer is calm under pressure.
o Understand the Health and Safety at Work Act, relevant Criminal, Civil Law and Police and Criminal Evidence Act.
