Nexter is a specialist nursery recruitment agency supplying temporary and permanent staff to early years settings across West Yorkshire and London. We’re a small, energetic and supportive team focused on high standards, fast response times and building strong relationships with nurseries and candidates.
We’re looking for a confident, organised and people-focused Nursery Recruitment Consultant to help us grow our Yorkshire desk. This is a varied role combining business development, candidate recruitment, and day-to-day client support.
You will:
* Build warm and trusting relationships with nursery managers
* Make proactive calls to nurseries to offer staff and understand their needs
* Develop new client accounts and book face-to-face visits
* Manage incoming booking requests and fill shifts quickly and accurately
* Advertise roles, screen applicants and conduct interviews
* Complete DBS, reference and compliance checks
* Maintain accurate records across our internal systems
* Support permanent recruitment by taking vacancy briefs and submitting suitable candidates
This is a phone-based, people-centred role with lots of variety, pace, and problem-solving. You’ll be speaking to nurseries and candidates throughout the day, helping both sides find the right fit.

Requirements
Essential
* Confident communicator with a clear, friendly telephone manner
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Happy working in a structured, fast-paced, office-based environment
* Comfortable with proactive calling and client outreach
* Positive attitude, resilience and reliability
* Competent with IT systems and able to learn new software quickly
Desirable
* Recruitment experience (any sector)
* Nursery/Early Years sector knowledge or experience
* Background in sales, account management or customer service
