Group Accounts Assistant - Equality Solutions Group

Location: - 9 Apollo Court, Koppers Way, Monkton Business Park South, Hebburn, Tyne and Wear, NE31 2ES

Hours and work arrangements

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Schedule: Monday to Friday, between the hours of 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

Please note we cannot offer overseas sponsorship for this position and candidates must be based in the North East England for hybrid working. We cannot accept applications for a remote working model.

Proposed Start Date: As soon as possible

Contract Type and Duration: Permanent, Full Time

Work Arrangement: Initially, this role requires the individual to work on-site until they have gained confidence in managing the responsibilities, typically by the end of the probation period. After successfully completing the probation period, hybrid working options will be available with a minimum of 3 days working in the office.

Holiday Entitlement: 225 hours per year (equivalent to 30 days) plus bank holidays

Salary: £25,000 - £27,000

An opportunity has arisen for a motivated finance professional to join the eQuality Solutions Group as Group Finance Assistant. What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Group Management Accountant, the Accounts Assistant is responsible for administering the financial transactions of the company.

The Group is made up of 6 companies and we produce management accounts pack for all 6 and consolidated accounts by the 10th working day of the month so all processing needs to be completed by 3rd working day of the month. Your induction period will be office based.

Key Responsibilities:


• Cash receipts and payment posting balanced against invoice.

* Checking for unallocated payments and allocating

* Sales and purchase ledgers balance to nominal ledger

* Completion of and checking VAT reconciliations

* Processing of Expenses

* Processing Company credit card transactions

* Creating Supplier payment runs

* Posting and managing purchase invoices

* Being a role model, living the company values

* Running reports and closing ledgers

* Other ad hoc duties as required.

Beneficial Essential Skills and Experience

* Sound IT skills, including good knowledge of Excel formulas.
* Experience of a variety of accounting software
* Ideally, AAT qualified or equivalent.
* Good communication skills both written and verbal.
* An understanding of good governance and processes.
