The Role:
This role is based in our Saab Seaeye Business Unit in Fareham.
You will be responsible for assembling and integrating remotely operated vehicles and their supporting equipment according to configuration documents, ensuring projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Integrate all assemblies and sub-assemblies to produce complete systems as per customer specifications and documentation.
* Conduct testing to verify system functionality, including auxiliaries, per customer requirements.
* Provide offsite/offshore commissioning and customer support as needed.
* Fault find and repair equipment, reporting issues appropriately.
* Raise change requests and suggest improvements for quality and efficiency.
* Interpret designs, engineering info, and electrical drawings for assembly and testing.
* Use relevant IT systems effectively.
* Develop solutions to challenges using personal judgment and initiative.
* Follow 6S practices and health and safety policies.
* Act ethically and with integrity.
* Maintain professional relationships with other departments.
* Perform additional duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager.
Skills and Experience:
* Minimum HNC/HND qualification, preferably in Electronics.
* Good knowledge of fibre optic termination, equipment, and testing.
