Job Description Quantity Surveyor – Renewables / BESS Projects
Swindon (flexible to Newport or Bristol) | 3–6 Month Contract
I’m recruiting on behalf of a leading client in the renewable energy sector, currently delivering a series of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and solar projects across South Wales and the surrounding region. They’re looking for a Quantity Surveyor to support project delivery through effective cost management and commercial oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and manage project costings, valuations, and variations
Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost reporting
Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers on pricing and agreements
Ensure commercial compliance across live and upcoming projects
Work closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor (ideally in construction or renewables)
Strong understanding of project costing, contracts, and financial tracking
Comfortable working across multiple projects
Experience with BESS or solar projects is a strong advantage
Available for site visits in Newport (with flexibility for Swindon or Bristol)
