About The Role Take the next step in your career now. This role is based onsite at our Barnstaple site and requires being onsite 5 days a week. The salary for this role is up to £28k, depending on experience.
Responsibilities
* Work in a multi-skilled production team providing assembly and machining support to Production and Engineering teams.
* Collaborate with Wiring Technicians, Test Technicians and Engineers to ensure products are delivered on time and to high quality standards.
* Provide training support for company apprentices to gain experience with machine tools, develop skills, promote shop health & safety and instill good housekeeping culture.
* Follow instructions to create full assemblies using a mix of electrical and mechanical assembly skills.
* Maintain fine motor skills and hand‑eye coordination for handling small parts and performing precise tasks.
* Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors and other team members to keep the assembly process running smoothly.
* Demonstrate practical skills with attention to detail and operate with appropriate supervision levels.

The skills you need
* No prior experience in engineering is required; full training will be provided. An open mind to learn new skills in a manufacturing environment is essential.
* Positive attitude toward delivering results.
* Potential for practical hands-on experience from hobbies or school projects is welcome.
* Ability to follow instructions for assembling products using a mix of electrical and mechanical skills.
* Fine motor skills and hand‑eye coordination for handling small parts.
* Good communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors.
