Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a Senior Social Worker within the Assessment & Intervention Team to work full time based in Chichester, West Sussex.
The salary for this Senior Social Worker role is up to £52,116 per annum.
Responsibilities
1. Act as a lead senior professional representative for the service, ensuring effective delivery of services with integrity, professionalism, and respect, prioritizing the needs of individuals and the organization.
2. Manage and advise on complex cases, including working with multiple agencies, handling complex family dynamics, safeguarding, managing risks, and legal issues. Lead resource allocation for optimal outcomes.
3. Deliver services in accordance with National Occupational Standards for Social Work and HCPC guidelines.
4. Chair meetings, support case conferences, and produce assessments and reports to meet the social care needs of children, young people, and families within resource constraints.
5. Contribute to service monitoring, review, and development initiatives. Represent the service externally, making commitments as needed.
6. Develop effective communication and working relationships with service users, families, carers, colleagues, and professionals to ensure appropriate interventions.
7. Use professional expertise to negotiate and make decisions on complex cases, advising and leading junior colleagues.
8. Supervise, mentor, and advise less experienced staff, ensuring adherence to procedures and best practices, and supporting staff development.
9. Engage in continuous professional development, utilizing research, legislation, feedback, and supervision to advance social work practice.
10. Maintain accurate records, produce reports, and monitor colleagues’ record-keeping for quality assurance.
11. Propose complex interventions considering individual needs and resource efficiency.
12. Ensure confidentiality, security, and proper maintenance of all records, including sensitive child and adult protection information.
Requirements
* Professional Social Work qualification or equivalent.
* Understanding of relevant legislation.
* Registered or eligible for registration.
* Good knowledge of relevant legislation.
