We are seeking dedicated Residential Support Workers to join our children’s residential team, supporting young people aged 12–17 with emotional and behavioural difficulties. You’ll provide daily care, guidance, and positive role modelling, helping each child to thrive in a safe, nurturing home environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Support young people’s routines, education, therapy, and personal growth
* Build positive, trusting relationships that promote safety and resilience
* Safeguard children and follow statutory and organisational policies
* Assist with life skills, hobbies, and social development
* Complete placement plans, reports, and accurate records
* Participate in household duties to maintain a safe and welcoming environment
* Support children on activities, trips, and appointments
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and professionals
* Be available for on-call cover and occasional sleep-in shifts
Requirements
* Good standard of English (written and spoken)
* Level 3 in Children & Young People (or willingness to work towards)
* First Aid, Food Hygiene, or Health & Safety training (desirable)
* Experience supporting children/young people with EBD (preferred)
* Resilient, empathetic, and calm under pressure
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
* Over 21 years of age
* Full UK driving licence (desirable)
