About the Opportunity
Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking an exceptional Practice Innovation Lead to drive technology adoption and innovation within their Corporate & Commercial practice. This is a rare opportunity to bridge the gap between legal practice and cutting-edge innovation, working at the intersection of law and technology.
The successful candidate will join the firm's Innovation & Legal Technology team, working directly with lawyers across ten practice areas including Corporate, Commercial, Competition, Tax & Structuring, Pensions, and Financial Regulation.
The Role
As Practice Innovation Lead, you\'ll be the catalyst for transformation—identifying opportunities to embed legal technology and innovative processes into daily legal work. You\'ll collaborate with lawyers to understand their pain points, implement solutions, and drive measurable improvements in productivity and client outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Building strong relationships with lawyers across the Corporate & Commercial group to understand workflow challenges and opportunities
* Acting as subject matter expert on legal technology tools, identifying and implementing solutions that deliver real value
* Developing and delivering engaging training programmes to boost technology adoption
* Managing change initiatives and embedding new ways of working
* Tracking adoption metrics and providing ROI analysis on innovation initiatives
* Representing the innovation team in practice group meetings and strategy discussions
Essential Requirements
* 5+ years' experience in corporate or commercial law (or closely related practice areas)
* Genuine passion for technology and innovation in the legal sector
* Deep understanding of legal processes and workflows within corporate/commercial practice
* Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
* Proactive problem-solver with ability to identify and implement practical solutions
* Strong communication skills with ability to make complex technology accessible
Highly Desirable
* Hands-on experience with legal technology tools and platforms
* Project or change management background
* Previous experience in legal innovation or legal tech implementation
* Track record of driving technology adoption in professional services
