Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of early childhood education principles. The Nursery Assistant will support the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children.
Duties
* Assist in the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
* Provide care and supervision to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
* Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and physical development.
* Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery environment.
* Collaborate with other staff members to create a supportive team atmosphere.
* Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in childcare management.
Requirements
* Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
* A recognised childcare qualification is essential or currently enrolled on a relevant course.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are required to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
* Demonstrated leadership abilities to guide and support young learners.
* Management skills to assist in the smooth operation of daily nursery activities.
* A genuine love for working with children and a commitment to their development is crucial.
Rates of pay for all positions are dependent upon experience and / or qualifications, rather than age. This will be discussed at the interview stage.
