Our Creative Operations team is revolutionizing localization through advanced AI technology and scalable workflows. We're seeking a Site Lead to oversee localization operations in London, managing teams across dubbing and subtitling workflows. This role combines operational excellence, people leadership, and strategic partnership with global stakeholders to scale our localization capabilities and deliver fully accessible content to customers worldwide. As Site Lead, you'll be responsible for ensuring consistent quality standards across both audio and text-based localization, operational efficiency, ensuring standardization and alignment with hubs in Madrid and Tokyo. You will be a key partner to Program, Product, Technology, and global Creative Operations leadership to advance our capabilities and expand content coverage across languages.
Key job responsibilities
* Lead localization operations for the site, overseeing dubbing and subtitling teams across multiple languages
* Define and execute site-level strategy aligned with global objectives and accessibility goals
* Own site-level metrics
* Drive cross-functional collaboration with Product, Engineering, Program Management, Content Programming, and peer site leads globally
* Conduct strategic quality reviews and implement corrective action plans for systemic issues
* Ensure localization output meets Prime Video's brand standards, cinematic quality expectations, and customer experience requirements
* Ensure AI-assisted workflows maintain artistic and linguistic integrity while expanding global content accessibility
* Establish standardized operating procedures, documentation, and training programs across all language teams and localization disciplines
* Monitor and optimize team utilization, capacity planning, and resource allocation across the site
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Creative/Operations Leads managing dubbing and subtitling specialists
* Support technical up-skilling initiatives to help linguistic experts adapt to AI-enabled workflows and advanced technology pipelines
* Foster a culture of innovation, quality excellence, continuous learning, customer obsession, and cross-functional collaboration
* Serve as the primary contact for site-level escalations, strategic decisions, and operational performance
* Communicate site performance, challenges, opportunities, and strategic initiatives to senior leadership
* Collaborate with site leads in other global locations
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree in Film, Media Production, Linguistics, Translation, Business or related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience
* Demonstrated experience in localization, dubbing, subtitling, or media operations with progressive leadership responsibility
* Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and operational efficiency at across multiple workflows/processes
* Professional proficiency in English (CEFR C1/C2)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience with international subtitling and dubbing workflows
* Experience partnering with product and program management teams
* Experience working with data and leveraging analytics to make decisions
* Experience with process improvements (Lean Six Sigma and/or Kaizen)
* Experience with localization processes and tools
* Deep expertise in AI-assisted localization technologies and workflows (e.g., 11Labs, Deepdub, Papercup for dubbing; subtitle automation tools)
* Written/spoken skills in a second language in addition to English
