Responsibilities
* Assisting where requested in the technical appraisals, abnormal costings of potential development land are provided within required timescales.
* Assisting where requested in ensuring that the most cost-effective options in physically developing the land are recommended.
* Ensuring, where requested, that the site can be properly serviced and constructed upon.
* Assisting as requested with strategic land acquisitions and Planning Appeals including strategic technical studies, negotiating with statutory authorities, instructing consultants and obtaining/vetting their reports.
* Assisting with our drawing management system and electronic filing as well as general admin preparing payment requests.
* Uploading information to Anaplan/NHBC portal and keeping approvals tracking documents up to date.
* Assisting where requested that within the Technical Department an awareness is maintained of the need for suitable development land to be acquired and that the Company is made aware of all relevant information coming to the attention of the Department's staff which may assist in the identification and securing of sites.
Qualifications
* A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Project Management or Quantity Surveying at a minimum of a 2:1 or equivalent skill level to be able to undertake the tasks required within the Technical Department.
* Highly competent computer skills on programs such as Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Project and PowerPoint.
* A strong interest in planning, design, construction related contracts & project management (Classified as General).
* Analytical with good problem‑solving skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Ability to multi‑task, identify key priorities and proactively deal with issues.
* Self‑motivated, ability to work with minimal supervision but also be able to work well as part of a team with enthusiasm and energy.
* Flexible approach to work.
* Attention to detail.
