This is a hybrid role; you will work from home occasionally but are required to work regularly on our client site in Northern Ireland.
Your future duties and responsibilities
The Infrastructure Architect role bridges the gap between Solution Architects, development teams, business teams, and project management. You will define, validate, and promote appropriate infrastructure for bids, deals, or projects, reporting to the CTO and Delivery Director, with a focus on growth and change activities.
You will build logical models of networks and infrastructure components, contribute to infrastructure architectures, and produce detailed component specifications that translate into implementation designs using selected products.
You will promote good infrastructure practices within our team and to clients, assist in preparing technical plans, change governance, and estimations throughout the project lifecycle.
Required qualifications
* Strong planning, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to identify solutions and produce project proposals.
* Experience with public and private cloud (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and platforms (Linux/Windows).
* Broad knowledge of infrastructure, public cloud, Linux, Wintel, SAN, and Networks. Familiarity with Oracle, Azure, and IaC tools like Terraform and Ansible is advantageous.
