Data Analyst – Tels – Data Cleansing Specialist
1. Hybrid: 2 days per week in Reading, London, Leeds or Birmingham
2. Travel: 1 visit to Birmingham per month
3. Rate: £350+ per day (Inside IR35)

With multiple new projects underway and long-term investment secured, this is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team where your work will have real, lasting impact — with strong potential for long-term contract extensions.The RoleWorking within the Fixed Access Engineering Team, you’ll use your existing deep understanding of data to identify underlying data challenges and uncover anomalies acrossplex systems.This role is focused on improving data quality and consistency across the programme. You’ll be responsible for cleaning and improvingplex datasets, carrying out deep-dive analysis, and integrating and tracking data across multiple systems.You will investigate anomalies, interrogate data and tools in detail, and work closely with engineering and network teams to ensure issues are understood and resolved. A key part of the role will involve feeding corrected data back into core systems and productionalising data processes to drive long-term improvements.This is a highly collaborative position where you’ll:

Key Responsibilities
8. Drive a data-led culture built on a single source of truth

10. Use SQL and tels knowledge to identify data issues
11. Investigate anomalies across multiple tools and data sources
12. Clean, improve, and validateplex datasets
13. Integrate and track data across systems
14. Develop and implement automated data cleansing approaches
15. Build and support data flows into central inventory systems
16. Ensure data is reintegrated in a robust, traceable way
Essential Skills
17. Strong SQL (interrogating, merging, transforming data)
18. Experience investigating anomalies and data issues
19. Proven data cleansing experience
20. Ability to interrogate tools andplex datasets
21. Strong Excel (no VBA/macros required)
22. Goodmunication and stakeholder engagement
23. Strong understanding of data quality and data management best practices
Desirable:
24. Experience with BigQuery / GCP
25. Knowledge of Fixed Tels / Fibre network data
