Overview
Cleveland Cascades Ltd is a world leader in the design and manufacture of specialised dry bulk handling equipment. We currently have a full-time permanent vacancy for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, reporting to the Design Manager and working within the engineering team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for aspects of design from conception to sign-off and be heavily involved in layouts, calculations for verification and detailed design. You will also be responsible for managing the implementation of innovative solutions and design changes. Working within a small team, you will be expected to use your own initiative to deliver projects within specification and on time.
Educated to degree level or higher, you will be a self-motivated and task-oriented engineer used to working within a small to medium-sized business unit. You should have good working knowledge of basic engineering principles and, preferably, at least 5 years of experience in bulk materials handling, conveyor systems and structural steel. Experience with engineering standards would be a distinct advantage. The ideal candidate will have Inventor and Vault experience, as well as Microsoft Project. An organised and methodical approach to workload, and an aptitude for processing procedural work (NCRs, ECRs, etc.) are desirable. An understanding of FEA and DFM would be beneficial.
