A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Billingham is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to work within a Year 1 class with high SEND needs, where learning is delivered at an Early Years level.

Pay: Competitive, based on experience
About the Role:
Provide targeted support within a Year 1 class with high SEND needs
Deliver learning and interventions at an Early Years level to meet individual pupil needs
Support pupils with a range of SEND, including those with EHCPs
Work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo, and wider support staff
Help create a calm, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Support pupils with social, emotional, and developmental needs
What We’re Looking For:
Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential)
Previous experience supporting children with SEND
Experience working within Early Years or Key Stage 1 is desirable
A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
This role is ideal for a committed SEND Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting young children with additional needs and helping them thrive within a mainstream primary setting.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
