Job Description
New Directions Education is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Humanities Teacher to join a secondary school in South Manchester. This role is available immediately and will continue until the end of the school year.
The successful candidate will teach across Humanities subjects, delivering engaging lessons that inspire and support pupils’ learning. You will work closely with department colleagues to maintain high standards and contribute to the wider school community.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver effective lessons in Humanities subjects
2. Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress
3. Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment
4. Collaborate with colleagues to develop schemes of work and resources
5. Contribute to extra-curricular activities where appropriate
Requirements:
6. Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent
7. Experience teaching Humanities at secondary level
8. Strong classroom management and communication skills
9. Flexible and adaptable to the needs of the school
