Position Summary
Senior Social Worker – Assessment Team, Woking. Salary range £47,884–£51,175 per annum, plus a financial package of up to £6,000. Eligible for a paid home and office working arrangement.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide the first contact for families or professionals, setting the tone for the relationship.
* Use motivational approaches to engage families and their support networks in understanding presenting concerns.
* Assess whether statutory social work services are required; if not, develop a lower‑level support plan.
* Maintain strong, consent‑based relationships with families, partners and other stakeholders.
* Work creatively and holistically to provide support and protection to children while attending to personal wellbeing and career development.
* Attend quality supervision and participate in continuing professional development programmes.
Qualifications
* Qualified Social Work degree and SWE registration.
* Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel across a wide geographic area.
* ASYE completed within two years of qualification.
* UK social work experience, with at least three years post‑qualification.
