About this opportunity
We're looking for a Product Owner to join our team, where you'll play a crucial role in reimagining our stockbroking services, assisting the Lab Product Owner and the broader team in understanding, designing and delivering excellent customer outcomes.
The “Stockbroking Lab” supports Halifax Share Dealing Ltd., which is the retail direct‑to‑customer execution‑only investment business of Lloyds Banking Group, providing investment products across the Group’s well‑known brands including Lloyds, Halifax and Bank of Scotland. We deliver a variety of initiatives using agile tools and methodologies to iteratively release value for customers and the Group, aligning to our purpose of Help Britain Prosper; the lab and our colleagues are making a difference individually and collectively, through the work we do to get the right outcomes for the customer.
As a Lead Product Owner, you’ll lead delivery teams, collaborating across the Group and with 3rd parties to help transform the business. We are looking to revolutionise our capability and make processes for customers and colleagues as simple as possible to navigate.
What you’ll be doing
* Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of customer and colleague journeys, working with platform, proposition and operational teams to ensure we land these successfully for customers.
* Collaborate with journey managers and engineers to break down work into deliverable increments, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business goals.
* Prioritise and manage the lab backlog, working closely with other Product Owners and Lab Leadership to shape and refine the roadmap.
* Lead change governance, ensuring compliance with internal frameworks and regulatory expectations, supported by your delivery team.
* Drive readiness activities including training, communications, testing, and implementation planning for your features and journeys.
* Champion delivery excellence, showcasing progress and outcomes across the Lab and wider Group to demonstrate how we’re delivering on our vision.
Why Lloyds Banking Group
Like the modern Britain we serve, we’re evolving. Investing billions in our people, data and tech to transform the way we meet the ever‑changing needs of our 26 million customers. We’re growing with purpose. Join us on our journey and you will too!
What you’ll need
* Product Owner experience – leading and being responsible for a backlog where you’ve made priority decisions and have been able to explain these across a variety of changes.
* Experience leading multiple delivery teams, across multiple locations, trusting and empowering the team.
* Experience supervising the benefits through realisation across customer, commercial and technology change.
* Demonstrate a strong understanding of the UK investments market, acquired through both operational and project roles to ensure that features delivered meet the industry standard. This must be demonstrated and is essential to the role.
* Experience planning and running resources and budgets, ensuring the production of outstanding product features that consistently provide value while ensuring that tasks are prioritised and run effectively.
* Shown experience working closely with collaborators up to director level as well as being able to lead all aspects of a delivery team that is multi‑location UK and India.
* Understand RAID management and demonstrate examples of running delivery risks and escalation of these at the appropriate time and level.
* Have a level of understanding of technology to aid the team through blockers and ensure the solutions delivered are efficient in the context of the group’s wider IT eco‑system.
* Great communication skills as we bring a range of stakeholders on the journey with us to help them understand the decisions we’ve made as we progress.
* Be able to demonstrate owning complex change governance processes such as legal, sourcing and regulator engagement.
