At Leonardo, we’re looking for an innovative and forward thinking application Lifecycle manager. At the forefront of Digital desktop experience, the way in which we on board, manage through life and retire desktop applications has a huge impact on our workforce and their productivity. This is a high impact role where you’ll shape and maintain the processes that ensure application delivery with assurance and compliance in mind. As a defence company it is essential that all software is in support, patched and free of vulnerabilities. The candidate will work closely with Architecture, Site operations, Information security and modern workplace service managers. There is scope to also lead and manage the Application packaging teams at the core of the lifecycle management. What you will do as Application Life Cycle Manager
1. Oversee the Full Lifecycle of Desktop Application activity from assessment, adoption, packaging, delivery and retirement
2. Develop and implement governance models for Application Delivery.
3. Work with SCCM, Intune and potentially Numecent as Application Delivery Channels
4. Maintain Application CMDB and lifecycle data
5. Ensure rigorous patch and update processes to ensure Cyber essentials compliance
6. React and coordinate Incidents concerning High Severity Application Vulnerability
7. Coordinate the retirement/replacement of legacy software.
8. Assist in the prioritisation of Application packaging & delivery tasks
9. Report to senior leadership on Application insights, such as Incident tracking, application roadmaps and obselecence tracking.
10. Champion automation and efficiency initiatives to optimise service delivery.
What you’ll bring
11. Proven experience in Desktop Application delivery.
12. Strong knowledge of ITIL and service management frameworks.
13. Expertise in one of the following Application delivery technologies: Numecent, Intune, SCCM.
14. Self motivation to develop structured processes and governance where none may exist.
15. Exposure to risk management, compliance, and governance.
16. Problem solving with the ability to think outside the box to focus on solutions that focus on the Employee experience as well as technical solutions.
